Priorities

What I will work on from day one

Priority 1

A high-quality education that prepares students for what comes next

My mission is to ensure every student receives a high-quality education that prepares them for life’s challenges and future opportunities, whether that is a trade, the military, a four-year degree, or a first job in Grandville.

Priority 2

Every student supported, valued, and connected

I believe every student deserves to feel supported, valued, and connected to their school community. Strong programs, strong activities, and adults who know their names.

Priority 3

Communication that runs both directions

Strong communication between parents, teachers, staff, and the school board is essential. I am committed to listening, working together, and making decisions that put students first.

My pledge

Four things you can hold me to

  • Read every board packet before the meeting, not during it.
  • Answer parent email: every message gets a reply.
  • Ask how a decision affects students before asking anything else.
  • Visit each building during the school year, not just at election time.
Questions welcome

Have something to raise?

Send it before the next board meeting and I will bring it with me.

On the ballot

Grandville School Board

Non-partisan race. Look for Roger Whisman on the November 3 ballot.

Election Day: November 3

Vote Roger Whisman

Bring one neighbor with you. That is how school board races are won.
